The rooms

The Posada offers 7 spacious, comfortable, well-ventilated rooms furnished with care in the best Mediterranean style with a blend of the island’s Caribbean elements.

The available rooms are as follows:

3 double bedrooms
3 triple bedrooms (a queen-size bed and a single bed)
1 quadruple bedroom (a queen-size bed and two single beds).

Each of the rooms has air conditioning, a ceiling fan, satellite TV (Rai, MTV, CNN, etc.), private bathroom and safe.

All of the rooms include fresh linens and towels, changed every third day of your stay.

A central safe-deposit box is available to our guests to safeguard travel documents and other valuables (in addition to the personal safes in each room).

Rates are "net". Reservations made through agencies can undergo a markup of up to 20%.

Reservations

To confirm your reservation (after you have received confirmation of availability), you need to deposit a down payment of 30% of the total cost of your stay plus 150-220 Euros for the internal flight (roundtrip) which must be reserved and paid upfront into our bank account by direct transfer. The remaining cost of the stay can be paid in Euros or Dollars cash or travelers' cheques when you arrive at the posada.

It is easier for us, here in Los Roques, to reserve the internal flight to arrive at Los Roques. It is possible to arrive in Gran Roque the same day you arrive in Caracas, but this all depends on the arrival time of your intercontinental flight. There are flights from Caracas to Gran Roque up until 16.00 (4:00 p.m) (flights are not authorized to fly into Gran Roque airport afterwards since the runway is not lit).

If you prefer, we could arrange for assistance at the Caracas airport and someone can accompany you to the Los Roques departure area (we recommend this service, at a cost of 10 US dollars). If you are unable to make the transfer flight, the person can assist you in finding a local hotel and then accompany you the next morning to the check-in desk for Los Roques (40 US dollars per person).

"All inclusive" Formula

The all-inclusive package includes:

First day

  • Reception at the Caracas airport by someone on our staff
  • Reception at the airport upon arrival in Gran Roque
  • Luggage transport (to and from the posada)
  • Accommodation in assigned room
  • Welcome cocktail drink

Every day

  • Continental breakfast (coffee, tea, milk, cornflakes, pancakes, homemade toast, jams, natural fruit juices)
  • Boat excursion to neighboring islands (the three islands called Francisqui, Madrizqui, Cayo Pirata). Beach chairs and umbrellas are also provided
  • Lunch on the islands (sandwich/cold pasta/cold rice, fruit salads, cookies, snacks, coca cola, iced tea, bottled water)
  • Snacks (fresh cakes /pizza, natural fruit juices)
  • Dinner (entrees, first course (soup, pasta, rice), main course (generally seafood based), 2 side dishes, dessert and coffee
  • Accommodation in comfortable rooms, with air conditioning, satellite TV, safe box; all rooms are clean and well-ventilated with private bathroom
  • Alcoholic drinks are to be paid separately based on consumption: local beer € 1,00; bottle of wine € 10.
