We strongly advise you to bring flexible, light luggage with you given that the maximum allowed weight for a Caracas-Los Roques flight is 10 kg. per person (a supplemental fee of US$1 is charged for each kilogram exceeding the 10 kg. limit). Extremely heavy or voluminous baggage runs the risk of not being loaded on the airplane due to the limited cargo capacity of the planes. It is also important to bear in mind that the Caracas Simón Bolívar International Airport DOES NOT offer luggage lockers.
- CLOTHING
-
We recommend you bring fresh, light and casual wear. We also recommend bringing sunglasses, caps or hats, a raincoat for the boat trips and sandals for the beach.
- MEDICINES
-
Gran Roque has a medical clinic and a small pharmacy: Nevertheless, do not forget to bring along with you any prescription or personal medicine.
- SUN PROTECTION
-
It is essential to pack high protection creams, with a recommended minimum of 15 SPF. Sun blocking lotions are preferred, as well as after-sun lotions and lip balms. THESE CAN ALSO BE BOUGHT EASILY ON THE ISLAND.
